What is Precision CNC Machining?

Precision Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining is an advanced subtractive manufacturing methodology where high-rigidity machine tools follow computerized G-code toolpaths derived directly from 3D CAD models. Unlike standard commercial machining, precision CNC operations are calibrated to eliminate thermal distortion, tool deflection, and cumulative fixturing error.

By coordinating up to 5 simultaneous axes of motion, our manufacturing workflows produce complex geometric surfaces, deep internal pockets, and micro-fine surface finishes that meet the most demanding aerospace, medical, automotive, and robotics specifications.

Engineering Optimization

Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Best Practices

Applying standard DFM principles during early CAD stages dramatically shortens cycle times and reduces per-part machining costs.

Internal Corner Radii

Avoid sharp 90° internal vertical corners. Maintain an inside radius of at least 1/3 of the cavity depth to allow standard endmills without tool chatter.

Wall Thickness Recommendations

Maintain minimum wall thicknesses of 0.8 mm for aluminum/steels and 1.5 mm for plastics to prevent chatter, deformation, and thermal warping.

Hole Depth-to-Diameter Ratio

Keep standard drilled hole depths within 4x to 6x the drill diameter. Deeper holes require specialized gun-drilling and add manufacturing cost.

Standard Thread Depths

Thread engagement beyond 2x the nominal bolt diameter provides negligible additional holding strength while increasing tap breakage risks.
